Think You're Cut Out For Doing Robots That Vacuum And Mop? Answer This Question

Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one time and without the need to switch devices. They can also reduce space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer for its relatively modest price and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly application that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. The only problem is that it tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning on the app will tell you exactly what the robot done, where it is moving, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs need to be done, such as emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can view the full cleaning details in the app, which is well laid out and easy to understand, though we would have liked to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum. This year's model has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that enables it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.

This Roborock model, just like the other two I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating two cameras that can recognize objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its direction in a way that is automatic and clean around them, without missing a step.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-refilling.

The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and that can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track the battery's life. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and advanced mowing abilities. Its intelligent design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry messes. It comes with a mop that is excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the use of a pad. Additionally, the X40 is extremely quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.

The X40 has a side brush that can be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile, making it a great choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice addition that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by repeated back-andforth movements.

Contrary to other robots which only focus on one thing, the X40 can do both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or individually. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.

The app is simple and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings.  robot vacuum cleaners  can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station automatically cleans the dustbin and mop pads before refilling them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and notify you before it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive on the market, but it packs in numerous additional features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and smaller dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.

Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There are many choices, including the possibility to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you define these preferences, or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are many functions that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, rather than using an individual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list however it's not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. They can even extend to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
